On the 1st of December 2024 we organized a performance along the banks of the Danube River in Belgrade during which we used a wooden replica of a public sculpture from Gyál near Budapest, made by the Hungarian sculptor Barth Károly. The buste represents István Széchenyi (1791 – 1860), a Hungarian politician, engineer, and writer, who among many other things, was responsible for opening the Iron gates, a narrow gorge on the river Danube, between Serbia and Romania. During the tour we talked about Széchenyi’s life and his influence on the modernization of the river. At the end of the tour, the sculpture was thrown into the river.
